Programmer
CitiStreet
(a division of CitiGroup) – Jacksonville, Florida
May 2000-Present
Worked on Health
Benefits and Pension web systems for CitiStreet’s Total Benefits Outsourcing
Division. These Web systems used JSP, EJB’s, and JavaScript served up by the
Weblogic webserver and a Sybase backend. Was responsible for design and
enhancement of websystems for a multiple of clients. These systems are hosted
on Sun UNIX boxes and Sybase was on HP Unix.
Also responsible for the
development of internal JSP pages and EJB’s under both WEBLogic and Iplanet for
an Intranet System. This system
gathered information from many different data sources including Access,
SqlServer, and Sybase utilizing JDBC database connectivity. It is used for problem tracking and
resolution, project planning, team status, and keeps track of release
information.
Consultant
Intermodal
Support Services – Jacksonville, Florida
Designed, developed, and maintain a large
internet system for the processing of purchase orders. This system built from scratch utilizes ASP,
VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, and SQL2000 to present a thin client solution.
Was hired to come in and design and develop a system, train their staff, and
maintain a dedicated hosting solution. This system is used across the US from
20 different offices. The go live date on this was 10/22/2001 and can be viewed
at www.intermodalsupport.com.
The system includes extensive reporting capabilities, the downloading of files
to EXCEL, auto generated emails, and graphing. All technical aspects of this
system were done by me from the registering the domain, setting up emails,
developing and deploying the system, to the setup and maintenance of the
outsourced dedicated server.
Webmaster
Container-IT
– Atlanta, Georgia
Designed, developed, and maintain a Flash website
to facilitate sales of containers and related equipment for the intermodal industry. This site built
from scratch utilizes Flash to present dynamic web content to the potential
customer. Was hired to come in and design and develop a website and integrate
into an existing inventory system. The go live date on this was 4/7/2003 and
can be viewed at www.container-it.com.
Other
Projects
Created www.nationalmatchriflerests.com
an ASP Access e-commerce solution. This site allows a person to order
merchandise via an SSL connection and saves the credit card information and
then sends an email to the merchant. The merchant can then log onto his secure
site and process the order then generating an email back to the consumer
notifying him or her their order has been shipped. Another project, www.drpware.com this is also an ASP Access
site. This site is for dividend reinvestment portfolio management. It will be
fully launched this spring, and the users will be charged a monthly fee for
keeping track of the sales and purchases of
DRP’s. I also incorporated banner ads to allow the
owner to host and create ads. Also
worked on www.anandahealth.com
providing design and development support for this ASP Access e-commerce site.
This company sells health products online. Architected a mechanism to allow the
vendor to create specials dynamically for a particular sales campaign. Another site I worked on was www.unclematts.com for a company www.redhotdigital.com who specializes
in web design. Created a series of management screens to allow clients to fully
automate their e-commerce site by allowing them to add and remove products
change prices etc. Also created them an audit trail to better track their
orders and customers. This site uses the Comersus cart engine and the linkpay
creditcard processing engine. Most of these sites utilize Flash and Fireworks,
ASP, JavaScript , VBScript technologies.
Consultant
SCANA -
Columbia, South Carolina
April 1994 – May 2000
Worked with PowerJ and EA Studio to WEB enable
some client server applications.
Developed JAVA applets and used
Powerbuilder 7 and Jaguar CTS on the back end. Also wrote Html, ASP, VBScript, Javascript pages to call Jaguar
transactional components as well as using the html datawindow to provide
e-solutions. Architected interfaces to
other utility companies to create an integrated system for sharing of
information in a deregulated power
industry. Also developed a
messaging system and server push mechanism using distributed Powerbuilder. Responsible for design and development of
GUI panels in PowerBuilder utilizing Sybase System 11 on the RS6000, as well as
RPC calls to access DB2 data on the mainframe. Worked on a Customer Information
System which interfaces to other Mainframe Systems as well as several PC based
systems to be accessed by over one thousand users at various client sites with
a centralized data source. The system
utilizes a PowerBuilder front end and accesses data from Sybase stored
procedures written in Transact SQL as well as calling CICS transactions written
in COBOL II via the Sybase NetGateway and Direct Connect to retrieve/update DB2
data on the host. Also wrote “C/C++”
dll’s called from PowerBuilder in addition to Windows SDK api functions to
further enhance the functionality of our application. Architected a Corporate wide Imaging system utilizing several
Active X controls. Worked in software
distribution which included making applications version control aware, so when
an application was run it determined if it was expired and if so navigated them
to the appropriate web page for the user to download the latest version of the
application. Served as a mentor, for
several new Powerbuilder developers sharing
my 6 years of Powerbuilder expertise with them to further their own careers.
Consultant
Allied
Signal
October 97 – January 99
Responsible for design and development of GUI
panels in PowerBuilder 6.5 and the PFC utilizing Sybase System 11 and stored
procedures on HP UNIX. This project was a gathering of data from several
machines in the manufacturing process of copper foil. Each machines statistics
and well as lab data where stored on Sybase. Based on this data strategic
business decisions were made for the pricing of the copper foil for the
customer. The company was maintaining this data by hand and writing down stats
on paper for each machines process and lab test. The application after
implementation paid for itself within a month.
This application was completed on the side as I worked my current job.
